I would consider this the beginning of my writing. I had wrote stuff in elementary but this is where i would consider myself writing poetry.
This one is called
Disaster
Burning buildings and crashing cars
All hit by the same tragedy
All of them hit by the punch in the face
The stab in the back
The unwanted death of happiness
People jump of windows in disorder
Planes go down with the pilot shooting his friend
Bridges tremble with the shock of untrustworthy drivers
Oceans overflow with greed, hate, and anger
Flames roll in on crashing waves
Shoved by forceful hurricane winds
Dark thunderclouds drop black hail
The size of fifty caliber bullets
Disaster strikes us and hits us hard
Demolishing all that we hold dear
It brings down all the walls we build up
Crumbling them like God's hand
Swooping down from heaven
Yet all the while there is one driver who is unaffected
Untouched by this disaster of great magnitude
Because he can see the person next to him and
Say I'm still here
The stuff in red was added at a later date because i felt it was too short. So let me know what you think!
